About Us

Company Overview

TPC, the UK’s largest privately-owned processing centre, is part of the Citipost Group. It was set up in 2012 and has seen year-on-year success.

Our 200 dedicated staff serve our international and domestic clients’ fulfilment and distribution needs from a 65,000 sq ft warehouse in South Normanton, Derbyshire.

Exponential growth in e-commerce led to a need for a dedicated one-stop shop for the online marketplace, so we stepped in to fill the gap.

TPC now processes 35m parcels a year and delivers to 112 destinations worldwide.

The philosophy guiding the firm is to combine logistics expertise with state-of-the-art technology, processes, and an unmatched customer experience to provide a tailored, flexible, reliable and cost-effective service.

Our passion for encouraging an ongoing programme of professional development for our staff is recognised in our Investors In People award, as well as the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 accreditations.

Bob Powner

Managing Director

Bob started his career as a Royal Mail postman spent 28 years working for Post Office Limited, Royal Mail Letters and Parcelforce Worldwide. The different roles taught him the fundamentals of the parcel industry and he has carried them with him throughout his 30 years in the 30 years in the industry. Bob was Hub and Trunking Director at City Link before moving to The Processing Centre as Chief Operating Officer. In January 2017 Bob accepted the role of MD for TPC.

Jackie has ten years’ experience in compliance and ensures the business consistently meets the requirements of the ISO standards and Government Legislation. Her expertise helps provide a high quality, safe and environmentally-friendly workplace, while also making certain TPC’s high standards are applied consistently across the business

Amanda supports our people who we consider to be the core of our business. Amanda’s background includes a very successful period working for Remploy, the UK’s leading disability specialists where Amanda matched people to roles within the workplace. Efficient and friendly, she is always available to support the team.

Operations Director

Trish has worked in a number of operational roles where she managed large vehicle fleets and fast-paced processes. Trish’s background includes Royal Mail and DHL. She also brings expertise in finance and process engineering to the TPC table.

Business Development Manager

Jen has worked in the logistics and parcels industry for 14 years and has roles at major players like Yodel, DHL Domestic and City Link. An expert in sales and new business, she understands the importance of building long-term partnerships with customers and is passionate about delivering high levels of service.

With more than 30 years in operations and sales, Carl brings with him a wealth of experience in parcels and international. He started his career at TNT International and spent 26 years with Target Express, where he was Regional Sales Manager for the North. He recognises that it is crucial that customers are matched with the right delivery partners.

Emma prepares, develops and analyses financial information to allow TPC to make well informed decisions and to aide in profitability and growth. With 9 years in the group Emma has experience with many different areas of the Business and uses the knowledge she had gained to assist the business wherever needed.

Support Services Manager

Jade is a real success story and one that demonstrates the people strategy in TPC. Jade started as a front lime member of the team processing packets and parcels before moving to transport and finally into Customer Experience. Jade is tenacious in her approach with the final mile carriers and the feedback from the customers is supported by the reviews on Trust Pilot.

As General Manager of TPC, Shane is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the business. Is a Senior Manager with a wealth of Operations, Logistics, Warehouse and Management experience in a fast paced environment. Is able to create strategic plans and translate these into transactional activities. Has a proven track record of adding value and making significant improvements to business performance.
